Abby Widman | Fort Wayne, IN | Cardinal

ABBY WIDMAN

Program Director & QMA Instructor

The Program Director oversees and leads the staff, approving each master plan for every course. After submitting the master plan to the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) for final approval, the PD ensures that each student file is compliant and remains up to date for final certification.

Abby is a wife and mother of three children, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, currently working toward her Master's of FNP. Serving the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic and working with various local agencies, she determined the need for competent, caring, and punctual staff was imminent. This need for quality care in her community became a priority, and Cardinal School of Care was born.

LUCAS GARDNER

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator assists with the planning and coordination of course activities. They monitor the implementation of program policies and practices, work to keep programs on schedule and support program growth and development as necessary.

Lucas has a sustained history in customer service and mental health while previously mentoring and serving children. He has worked with the Bowen Center in Wells County, where he helped establish consistent mental health services for area students. The core of his dedication consists of coaching children with practical coping skills, practicing mindfulness, and highlighting the importance of self-care. As Cardinal School of Care co-owner, Lucas hopes to demonstrate these values for the newly trained CNAs that will inevitably serve the local community.
